Canadian Scholars/Women’s Press is one of Canada’s leading independent publishers of books for the higher education market. We create books that make a genuine and lasting contribution to the evolution of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Our Women’s Press imprint is Canada’s foremost academic feminist publisher.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills to join our growing sales team, assuming the position of Sales Coordinator. This position is full-time and would follow our hybrid work model, partially working out of our downtown Toronto office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing our main customer service communication portals.
  • Processing and fulfilling all wholesale and retail orders.
  • Managing incoming review copy requests; facilitating mailing.
  • Conducting extensive market research.
  • Preparing sales reports.
  • Assisting in the development of customer service resources.
  • Supporting the efforts of the sales department through various projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree
  • 1+ years of customer service experience would be an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in academic book publishing would be an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
