Biography
Simone Craig is a college professor and agile coach born and raised in Germany. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Wilfrid Laurier University and earned her MBA from the Australia Institute of Business. For many years, she combined her industry experience as project manager, people leader, and agile coach with part-time teaching at the post-secondary level. As an agile coach, she successfully mentored and coached teams in adopting Scrum and Kanban practices. As Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT), she has provided training courses and certifications to over 130 individuals in the Kanban method. In addition to her expertise in agile delivery techniques, she also brings deep experience in the Waterfall approach to round out her project management toolset. Eventually, her passion for teaching won and she embarked on her journey as a full-time professor at Conestoga College. With a desire to always have fresh and interesting tales to tell her students, she also formed her own consulting company, “The Agile Lens,” offering agile coaching and corporate training to the North American market. She is certified in Project Management (PMP), Scrum (CSM), Kanban (KMP, AKT), and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
“Agile Coaching and Transformation is a perfect guide for anyone interested in becoming an agile coach or leading an agile transformation in the role of an agile coach. This is one of the few books that talks at length about the role of the agile coach and the skills needed for successful agile coaches but in the context of agile transformations, which makes the book practical and easy to read.”
—Joanna Tivig, Co-Author of Gen P: New Generation of Product Owners Who Care about Customers and Project Management instructor, University of Toronto
“The book provides a nice overview of some foundational aspects, augmented with firsthand experiences and expertise with considerations from various perspectives to bring concepts to life. The chapter summaries and reflection questions provide a wonderful opportunity for both personal reflections and discussion amongst peers when thinking about how the material presented might apply in your own context and environment. What is a Reflowable ebook?
Reflowable eTextbooks respond to the size of the device they are viewed on, much like a typical website. This causes them to look different from a traditional book. They may also contain embedded audio, video, or interactive components in addition to the RedShelf Reader’s standard study tools.
What is a Fixed Layout eBook?
A fixed layout eTextbook maintains the look and the feel of a printed textbook. The text is fixed, and the screen size determines the size of the text. These eTextbooks work best on large-screen devices and do not contain any embedded media or interactive content.
