Edward J. Hedican is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Guelph. He is widely considered as one of today's foremost Canadian anthropologists. He has conducted extensive field work among the Anishenabe of northern Ontario and among farmers in Donegal, Ireland.
