Jill Thompson

Jill Thompson, BA, MA, R Psych, is an Assistant Professor at Mount Royal University and a Registered Psychologist in Alberta. Drawing on experiences in counselling, teaching, and community engagement, Jill’s work focuses on anti-oppressive practice, trauma-informed care, and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion. Jill’s research and teaching emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to care, exploring how education and creative methods such as craftivism can promote social justice and child and youth rights. In addition to the academic role, Jill maintains a private counselling practice.
