Copyeditor

Canadian Scholars/Women’s Press is seeking freelance copyeditors based in Ontario to add to our roster.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience copyediting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in author relations
• Experience working directly with authors to resolve queries
• Thorough understanding of copyediting conventions and Microsoft Word’s track changes feature
• Able to create style sheets and edit in accordance with Canadian Scholars’ style guide
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and superior attention to detail
• Experience working with higher education textbooks or scholarly publications will be considered a significant asset
